Lynn Bahta, MPH, BSN, PHN, and Molly Howell, MPH, will provide an overview of the current measles landscape and its impact on communities, detail strategies to collaborate with affected communities to enhance outbreak response, and describe the role of trust and communication in promoting vaccination and containment efforts. About our presenters: Lynn Bahta is a public health nurse who recently retired as the Immunization Clinical Consultant for the Minnesota Department of Health after more than 25 years of work in the field of immunization. Ms. Bahta served as a member of the national Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) from 2019-2023, and continues ad hoc work for ACIP in an expert capacity. Molly Howell is currently the Immunization Director and Assistant Director of Disease Control and Forensic Pathology at the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services and has worked in the field of immunizations for the past 22 years and public health for 24 years. Molly has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. She is currently a member of the Association of Immunization Managers’ (AIM) executive committee, AIM liaison to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).
